THE ACADEMY OF THE ARMED FORCES INVITES STUDENTS WHO HAVE COMPLETED THE 2ND YEAR OF THE PSYCHOLOGY MAJOR TO STUDY

Starting from the 2023/2024 academic year, the Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan launched a training system for officers in the specialty “Psychology (military psychologist).”

From among the students who have successfully completed the 2nd year of Psychology and who wish to continue their studies at the Academy of the Armed Forces and subsequently perform military service under a contract, depending on the state of their training, candidates who are suitable for military service and have not reached the age of 26 are selected.

Applicants will study on a 2-year program and graduates will be awarded a bachelor's degree.

Applications will be accepted through regional defense departments until March 31 of this year.

Military psychologists work in the following areas:
- psychological education and propaganda;
- psychological diagnostics;
- psychological prevention;
- psychological correction;
- psychological counseling;
- psychological support in extreme conditions.

The procedure for selecting and admitting applicants in the field of education “Psychology (military psychologist)”:

Stage 1 (from February 1 to March 31):

Submitting an application (notice) for admission to the regional defense departments (military units, institutions).

However, until April 10:

- collection and study of documents
- conducting a conversation
- primary medical examination

Stage 3 (July-August)

Organization of tests together with the Agency for the Assessment of Knowledge and Qualifications under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.

Conditions and opportunities provided to cadets:

- free hostel;
- three free hot meals a day (during the training, cadets are provided with military and sports uniforms, equipment, bedding sets, special and sanitary items);
- obtaining the military rank of lieutenant after receiving a bachelor's degree;
- continuation of training on the basis of a state grant (budget) (for students on a contract basis);
- stipend in accordance with the ranks and financial support for additional positions;
- free use of city public transport;
- free treatment in military medical institutions;
- 15 days of vacation in winter and 30 days in summer;
- free travel on railways and state buses during the summer holidays.

Graduates will work as military psychologists in military units of the Armed Forces.
